Two Blora Farming Groups Obtain Organic Rice Production Certificates

INFOKU, BLORA -  Organic rice belonging to two Farmer Groups (klomtan) in the Kedungtuban District area, Blora, namely Klomtan Jemari Agung, Sidorejo Village, Kedungtuban, and Klomtan Bina Alamsri Mandiri, Bajo Village, received certificates.

The Regent of Blora, Arief Rohman, appreciated and welcomed the issuance of organic rice certificates belonging to two Klomtan in Kedungtuban.

He emphasized that through DP4 he would continue to monitor and encourage all villages in Blora to develop organic agriculture on a massive scale.

The certificate obtained by "Jemari Agung" and Bina Alamsri Mandiri was issued by the Seloliman Organic Certification Institute.

In the certificate dated November 6 2023, it was stated that the organic rice produced by the two Klomtans was declared to have consistently met the requirements of SNI 6729: 2016, Organic Agriculture System through Internal Control System (ICS).

The Regent also encouraged a number of Klomtan in Blora who have been farming organically and have production, to immediately obtain their certificates.

"Market demand continues to flow, and this must be welcomed positively by farmers in Blora," he said.

He admitted that this was the result of promotions carried out in several places, including the diaspora in Jakarta and in a number of other cities.

As a result, interest in buying organic rice produced by Blora farmers continues to flow and increase.

In the future, he continued, his party will require village heads throughout Blora to have organic farming demonstration plots.
