INFOKU, BLORA – After being paralyzed for a week, e-KTP printing services in Blora have returned to normal.
The disruption occurred due to an update to the Population Administration Information System (SIAK) from the central government.
Due to these issues, thousands of residents seeking to print their e-KTPs had to wait longer. In fact, services were even rendered unavailable at full capacity since the end of last month.
Head of the Population Administration Information Management (PIAK) and Data Utilization Division of the Blora Civil Registration Agency, Ardian Sukmana, explained that the disruption occurred during the national SIAK application update process.
"There's been an update to the SIAK application. Some districts are running smoothly, while others are experiencing issues. Incidentally, Blora is one of those that is not running smoothly," he said.
He said the system was initially usable, albeit slowly. However, conditions worsened to the point where e-KTP printing could no longer be performed at all.
"Starting April 27, printing one ID card could take up to 30 minutes. After that, printing was temporarily stopped," he said.
During the disruption, services at the Civil Registration Office were practically disrupted.
Applicants who come are only asked to leave their files while waiting for the system to return to normal.
The agency continues to coordinate with the central government to resolve the disruption. As a result, the system has been operating normally since last weekend.
"We communicated with the central office and made improvements. Starting last Thursday or Friday, it should be operational again," he added.
Normally, the service is followed by a surge in e-KTP printing applicants.
The queues were huge on Monday and Tuesday early this week due to the large number of residents who had previously been delayed.
"Monday and Tuesday were busy. Today, things have started to slow down," he said.
Usually the number of applicants for e-KTP printing is only around 50 to 60 people per day.
However, when the service reopened, the number jumped to 70 to 90 applicants.

Now the printing process is said to be back to its original speed.
Even in one minute, officers can print two e-KTP cards.
"It's running smoothly again now, there are no problems," he concluded. (Endah/ IST )
