Komnas HAM Questions the Professionalism of the Central Java Regional Police in the Blora Land Mafia Case

INFOKU – Finally, the National Commission (Komnas) on Human Rights (HAM) followed up on allegations of unprofessionalism by Central Java Regional Police investigators handling the land mafia case in Blora.

This was conveyed through letter Number 1236/PM.00/K/X/2023 from Komnas HAM addressed to the Regional Supervisory Inspector (irwasda) of the Central Java Regional Police.

It was written in the letter that Komnas HAM asked for information regarding the alleged unprofessionalism of Central Java Police investigators in handling cases of fraud and/or embezzlement according to police report number LP/B/599/XII/2021/SPKT/POLDA CENTRAL JAVA.

The letter was issued because Komnas HAM had received a letter of complaint regarding requests for monitoring and supervision of the process of handling legal cases that Sri Budiyono reported to the Central Java Regional Police.

Sri Budiyono said that his party had indeed visited Komnas HAM to seek justice for the case they experienced.

“Perhaps from my complaint, Komnas HAM then followed up. The letter dated October 24 was addressed to the Inspector General of Central Java Regional Police. "I just got a copy," he explained in a press statement yesterday (31/10).

In the letter it is explained that Komnas HAM has a monitoring function referring to article 89 paragraph 3 of Law Number 39 of 1999 concerning Human Rights. On this basis, the Republic of Indonesia's National Human Rights Commission asked the Inspector General of the Central Java Regional Police to provide information and information regarding the handling of this case.

Then, provide information regarding the obstacles and obstacles to the Central Java Regional Police in handling the case. Also ensuring that there is a guarantee of legal certainty for complainants or victims of Sri Budiyono.

Also, this includes requesting information on the progress of case handling from Komnas HAM no later than 15 days after the letter is received. "The letter is signed by the Commissioner for Monitoring and Investigation, Uli Parulian Sihombing," he said.

Previously it was reported that since reporting in 2021, the alleged land mafia case experienced by Sri Budiyono seemed to have stalled at the Central Java Regional Police.

Even though investigators have named Blora DPRD member Abdullah Aminudin and Notary EE as suspects.

However, so far there have been no arrests. Then the process of handing over files from the regional police to the Central Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) was also not completed.

Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police, Commissioner Pol Satake Bayu Setianto, in his statement said that this was the second time the delegation had occurred.

“Then, we have handed over the files again to the prosecutor's office. "While waiting for the results of the laboratory (forensic laboratory)," he explained.
