INFOKU, BLORA – During a meeting in the Akamigas Cepu Energy and Mineral Polytechnic (PEM) Rectorate room, a proposal to establish a digital oil and gas museum in Cepu emerged, put forward by the Director General of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tutuka Ariadji, Friday (10/11/2023) afternoon.
On the sidelines of a meeting to finalize the concept of the Greater Cepu Area, where it was "agreed" that the branding of the Greater Cepu Area should be the Old Well, and there must be a tourism concept, Director General Tutuka initiated the need to establish a Digital Oil and Gas Museum in Cepu.
According to him, the Digital Oil and Gas Museum will provide exposure to what the oil and gas industry was like in the past, present and future.
"I think that for buildings we can use buildings in the Cepu Migas PPSDM environment that are not in use, we just have to arrange them a little bit. "What needs to be done is that the museum concept is rich and needs to be strengthened immediately," said the Director General of Oil and Gas.

He added that the establishment of an oil and gas museum in Cepu was considered very appropriate, considering the oil history in Cepu.
The Regent of Blora, Arief Rohman, who was present at the meeting at PEM Akamigas Cepu, welcomed the idea of establishing a Digital Oil and Gas Museum and hoped that it would be realized soon.
"This is an interesting idea and needs to be immediately realized and a head of the project for establishing a museum formed," he said.
Museum digitalization is the process of changing physical objects or artifacts in a museum into digital format.
In one room of the building there will be large screens, where visitors can access what is in the museum.
The museum digitalization process involves taking pictures or scanning objects in the museum, processing digital data, and ideally also creating a platform or website to display the collection.
In addition, technology such as Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) can also be used to provide visitors with a more interactive experience. (Endah/KOM)
