INFOKU, BLORA - The land acquisition stage for residents in five villages affected by the Karangnongko Dam project was socialized last week.
It is claimed that the residents of Ngrawoh Village have temporarily agreed to a plan to compensate the affected land for profit, rather than relocation.
The Head of Ngrawoh Village (Kades), Kradenan Purwondo District, explained that village residents affected by the dam construction were invited to a public consultation last Thursday (12/10). As a result, all residents temporarily agreed to the proposal to replace the land profits.
"At yesterday's meeting, our residents temporarily took the option of changing profits," he said.

Purwondo explained that there were two schemes proposed at the time of socialization.
Namely, relocation and profit change. If you take a relocation scheme, the district government will be burdened with finding land. Meanwhile, the central government took over the profits directly.
"From the BBWS (river area center) there are essentially two options, either changing profits or relocating. If the district had to carry out the relocation, now the district is objecting. "PSN (national strategic project) must run," he said.
He revealed that there were around 160 families of residents of Ngrawoh Village who were affected and there was no resistance.
However, affected residents are still waiting for confirmation on the amount of compensation that will be given.
“The amount of profit compensation has not yet been agreed. "Because, there are still no measurements from BPN (national land agency)," he explained.
There are five villages affected by the project. These include the villages of Nginggil, Megeri, Ngrawoh, Nglebak and Mendenrejo in Kradenan District.
According to him, five villages have been invited to socialize in stages with stakeholders and sub-district authorities.
