INFOKU, BLORA – This year's village head election was a surprise, where the incumbent village head (kades) was dropped during the simultaneous village election last Saturday (8/7).
Of the 22 incumbent village heads who competed, only 10 returned to office. The remaining 17 elected village heads are new faces or 67%.
Head of the Blora Community and Village Empowerment Service (DPMD) Yayuk Windrati explained, the results of the simultaneous village election in 27 villages had been recapitulated.
As a result, many new faces were selected. Before the voting, there were 22 incumbents running, only 10 people who were re-elected.
"For those candidates who have not succeeded, God willing, there are more beautiful plans. Becoming a village head is not the only way to serve, there are still many ways," he said.
Yayuk hopes that the elected village head can make a better contribution to the village. Reuniting people of different choices.
Everyone must be considered as villagers who have the right to get services, to be protected and to have their welfare increased.
"The democratic party is over. There are no more supporters or non-supporters, all are villagers who have the same rights," he explained.

Chairman of the Indonesian Village Devices Association (PPDI) Blora Cuk Suwartono said, there were several reasons why incumbents died in the Pilkades.
For example, the promised program was not fulfilled and the community was dissatisfied with the village head's performance while in office.
"It could be that the program offered by the new village head candidates is more attractive to residents, who know the performance of the incumbent village head as well as villagers," he explained.
According to Suwarno, the village community is now smart in choosing candidates who are felt capable of making the village better.
Especially with technology and social media. They can compare the development of their village with other villages that can be better.
