INFOKU, BLORA -The criminal investigation unit (Satreskrim) of the Blora Police has named four people as suspects in the beating case which caused the victim with the initials AZM to fall into a coma and is undergoing treatment at the Sultan Agung Hospital in Semarang.
The beating incident at a karaoke cafe, in Nglempung Hamlet, Kebonrejo Village, Banjarejo District, Blora Regency, Saturday (22/04/2023) around 02.00 in the morning.
Kasatreskrim Blora Police, AKP Supriyono said that four perpetrators had been named as suspects in the persecution case.
"Previously there were seven people we secured. After identification, we finally named four people as suspects," said AKP Supriyono during a press conference at the Blora Police Headquarters, Friday (28/04/2023).
The suspects have the initials CAN (24), CTB (31), M (35) and BP (41). They are all residents of the Nglempung hamlet, Kebonrejo village, Banjarejo District, Blora Regency.

The arrest process was also colored by a chase on the Kalikangkung toll road, Semarang, on Thursday (27/04/2023) around 01.00 WIB.
This is because one of the suspects named CTB alias Ucil wanted to flee to Jakarta with his family.
"There was a chase, but we managed to secure it without any resistance," said AKP Supriyono.
Furthermore, AKP Supriyono said that one of the perpetrators was indeed the son of a village head in a village in Banjarejo District.
"CTB alias Ucil is the son of the village head in Banjarejo District," explained AKP Supriyono
In fact, the suspect even tried to escape using a village alert car driven by his father. Thus, the police will continue to investigate the role of the father of one of the suspects.
"Later we will study it again and develop it, if there is a crime, we will process it, but it is still being investigated by investigators regarding the involvement of the village head," explained AKP Supriyono.
According to him, the beating started when the perpetrator was arguing with a group of youths from another village in the front yard of the local village Juwadeng cafe.
“The victim then separated him because he knew the perpetrator. However, the perpetrator has contacted his friends," said AKP Supriyono.
After his friends, who numbered 15-20 people, came, the group of youths who wanted to quarrel had left. Only the victim and his friend were at the location and the victim was beaten to death.
To account for their actions, the suspects were charged under Article 170 of the Criminal Code which carries a penalty of 9 years in prison.
AKP Supriyono also admitted that he was still developing the beating case and had secured other perpetrators who were on the People Wanted List (DPO). (Endah)
