Rice Assistance from the Center is Guaranteed to Come from Local Farmers, Allocation of 2,788 Tons

This amount will be distributed to 92,255 underprivileged residents. Bulog ensures that the rice is sourced from local farmers.

Representative of Perum Bulog Pati Branch Ahmad Muzayyad Faqihuddin explained that his party was assigned by the central government to distribute 2,788 tons of rice reserves to Blora.

The distribution is carried out in three stages.

“It was carried out in three stages, March, April and May. Each stage is distributed as much as 929 tons," he explained.

Ahmad continued, there were 92,255 registered beneficiaries.

The distribution of rice reserves aims to reduce the expenditure burden on beneficiary families.

Agus Sukowihono, the provider of Bulog rice for food assistance in Blora, said that registered residents would receive as much as 10 kilograms (kg) per person.

Rice was purchased from local farmers during last year's harvest and earlier this year's harvest season.

Regent Arief Rohman said the rice distribution was a follow-up to the president's direction to distribute the government's food reserves this year.

Of the total 929 tons of rice every month, it will be distributed to 92,255 recipients of food assistance in Blora Regency based on data by name by address (BNBA) received by Perum Bulog from Bapanas.

"With this data, we hope that this rice assistance can be right on target, reaching the people of Blora who need it," he said.

He hopes that the food assistance in the form of rice can help the community. Especially those who are less able to meet their basic daily needs.

Thus, the potential for food shortages can be reduced, it can also help control prices, especially the price of rice.
