INFOKU, BLORA -To maintain public order and security during the holy month of Ramadan, the Blora Police regularly visit the community as part of a police patrol and guard activity.
One of the anticipated dynamics in society is the sarong war which is usually carried out by teenagers in the fasting month.
Kapolres Blora Polda Central Java AKBP Fahrurozi said that sarong war activities were prohibited, because this could create uproar and could lead to teenage brawls.
"As a step to anticipate the occurrence of teenage brawls in the month of Ramadan. We prohibit activities such as sarong wars. And we have instructed the entire Polsek to carry out monitoring in their respective areas," said the Blora Police Chief, Tuesday (28/3/2023).
To parents, the Head of the Blora Police advised them to take an active part in guarding and supervising their children, not to commit acts that have a negative impact on the environment and society, especially during the fasting month.
"We urge the public to be vigilant and watch over their sons and daughters by carrying out positive activities in the month of Ramadan," added the police chief.
Monitoring of the sarong war itself has been carried out in all the Polsek in 16 districts. One of them was carried out by members of the Jati Police.
Kapolsek Jati Iptu Subardi revealed that Polsek Jati patrols routinely visit locations where young people or teenagers gather, especially before breaking the fast and before dawn.

"We urge teenagers to remain orderly in maintaining environmental security. Don't engage in activities that can cause public unrest such as sarong wars, apart from being dangerous it can also cause conflict which can lead to teenage brawls," said Kapolsek Jati. (Endah/POL)
