INFOKU, BLORA –The village government (pemdes) questioned the plan to downgrade the status of district roads to village roads.
The village party asked for clarification of the policy as soon as possible. The Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (DPUPR) confirmed the finalization this month.
The Head of Sambongrejo Village, Sambong District, Mat Thohir, wants the regency road in his village area to be converted into a village road.
Residents often complain to Pemdes because the condition of the road is badly damaged.
"In the past village government kuyo-kuyo , residents always asked why the village was not built, even though it was a district road, not the authority of the village," he said yesterday (27/2).

His party proposed the Sambongrejo-Bogowati road, in his village there would immediately be confirmation of the status of being a village road so that construction could be taken over.
Thohir has prepared a source of funds for road construction from village funds and aspirations from the DPRD.
Previously, this year the Regency Government planned to downgrade 91 points of regency roads to become village roads. Also merging roads in the area.

Secretary of the Blora PUPR Service Nizamudin Al Hudda explained that many village administrations want district roads to be downgraded to village roads. This proposal will be realized this year.
"The downgrade road is nearing the final, maybe at the end of this month," he concluded. (Endah/ IST )
