INFOKU, BLORA –Currently Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is still a scourge for the people of Blora.
At the beginning of 2023, dengue has claimed four lives. Based on data from the Blora Health Office (Dinkes), until now (27/2) there have been 56 cases of DHF. Consisting of 39 cases during January and 7 cases in February.
Approximately 150 cases of suspected DHF are still at the dengue fever stage. The public is asked to be vigilant as the rainy weather tends to affect the breeding of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito. Eradication of mosquito nests (PSN) is needed.
Head of the Health Service (Dinkes) Edy Widayat through the Head of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control (P3M) Sutik said, of the 56 cases of dengue fever in January and February, even claimed four lives, children aged 15 and under were vulnerable.

This is because the immune system of children of this age is still not strong. ''DHF is a 5-year cycle. Currently Blora Kota District is still the highest with 11 cases,'' he explained.
People are asked to maintain cleanliness according to the weather so that Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes do not easily breed.
