INFOKU, BLORA –Following the persecution of residents of Jurangjero Village, Bogorejo District who protested the environmental impact of the activities of PT Kapur Rembang Indonesia ( PT KRI ), the Blora DPRD opened the door for affected residentsto complain and convey their aspirations.
Blora DPRD Chairman Mustopa said that his party had received information regarding the alleged assault on seven Jurangjero residents.
He admitted that he was concerned and would open the door to an audience for residents who wanted to convey their aspirations.
"We invite the residents of Jurangjero Village to sit together. What has been the concern so far, can be conveyed to us and we are waiting for it in the DPRD," he said.

Mustopa said that his party also planned to visit the Rembang DPRD to discuss the problems of Jurangjero residents with PT KRI.
However, it is necessary to hear directly from the affected residents first.
So that we can put things into perspective regarding what is happening.
Pungent Smell of Sulfur
"We also have to know, sit together with the residents affected by this. If so, then in the future we will go there (Rembang)," he said.
Meanwhile, the Village Head ( Kades ) of Jurangjero Suwoto revealed that since the establishment of PT KRI in 2024, which borders directly on his village, residents have been affected by smoke from burning factory activities.
The pungent smell of sulfur arises from the coal burning process and is very disturbing to residents' breathing.
"Residents asked PT KRI to reduce the blower size so that it doesn't produce too much smoke," he said.
He explained that the residents' protests were directed directly to PT KRI.
However, there was an argument and in the end seven residents were injured, allegedly by factory employees .

He admitted that a report had been submitted to the police .
In addition, his party has also reported to the Blora Environmental Service ( DLH ) several months ago.
However, there has been no follow-up.
