The Health Office seeks increased treatment to prevent HIV/AIDS.
This year, they have trained medical staff to handle HIV/AIDS in every hospital and puskesmas.
Last year only 5 health centers could handle the case.
"We train medical personnel for each service and are just waiting for activation. Treatment for HIV/AIDS must be intense every day and for life in order to prevent its spread,'' he explained.
He advised the public to pay attention to activities or access that are prone to causing the spread of the virus.
For example, sexual contact, blood contact during transfusions, and mothers passing the virus on to their children.
The Health Office, according to Sutik, has also formed a Peer Support program to bring together HIV/AIDS sufferers to support each other during treatment and prevention. (Endah/ IST )
