DLH Blora Provides Pedicab Assistance, Efforts to Handle Waste More Effectively

INFOKU,  BLORA    -     The Environmental Service (DLH) of Blora Regency, Central Java distributed 26 garbage pedicabs. 

The Head of Blora Regency, Istadi Rusmanto, said that the garbage rickshaws distributed came from assistance from Blora Regent Arief Rohman.

"So the garbage rickshaw is assistance from the Blora Regent. He advised that the assistance make a positive contribution to waste management in Blora Regency," said Istadi, Tuesday (1/7/2025).

The assistance of the garbage rickshaws is also an effort to prepare Blora Regency to receive the Adipura Kencana.

"Because Blora has won the Adipura award several times, including: 1992, 1993, 2016, 2022 and 2023, specifically in 2023 Blora district won the Adipura award for the cleanest small city category," explained Head of DLH Istadi.

In addition, he continued, to follow up on circular letter no. 5 of 2025 from the Minister of Environment/Head of the Environmental Control Agency (BPLH) Dr. Hanif Faisol Nurofig regarding efforts to clean up waste in all regions.

Istadi also informed that the Minister of Environment's Policy on Adipura has changed, one of which is regarding the form of attention of the Regional Government in handling waste, especially financial support from the Regency APBD.

"The plan to hold the Adipura assessment will be implemented in 2026," he said.

Therefore, he continues to strive to build cooperation, collaborate and synergize with various parties in handling environmental cleanliness in Blora Regency.

Among them are establishing waste banks in every village/sub-district and OPD as well as building and rehabilitating parks.

Meanwhile, the Head of RW V, Karangjati Village, Blora District, Agus Budi Sukrisno, one of the recipients of the garbage rickshaw assistance, expressed his gratitude.

"This assistance is very useful in supporting cleanliness in Taman Perumnas, because every day the garbage can be transported directly to the landfill," he said.

Meanwhile, Sadikun, who is tasked with cleaning up trash at Taman Perumnas every day, feels like he has won a windfall.

"The workload is getting lighter and the park environment looks cleaner, more beautiful and green," said Sadikun.
