INFOKU BLORA – Approximately 17,608 hectares of land in Blora are critical.
This is based on the results of a survey by the Blora Environment Agency (DLH) last year.
This amount consists of 846 hectares of land outside the forest area and 16,763 hectares inside the forest.
Head of Pollution Control and Environmental Damage and Biodiversity Management DLH Blora Gartini said the land with critical status is spread across 9 villages in 7 sub-districts.
His party plans to plant the land with hardeners and fruit trees.
Unfortunately, he continued, the budget in his department was minimal. His party is trying to cooperate with the village to restore the critical land.

"The village has a village fund. Could budget for that too. We are stimulants because of a limited budget too," said Gartini.
Gartini continued, the synergy is needed to improve the critical land. Because of this, efforts to engage villages to allocate village funds in dealing with critical land are very important.
"In the future we will synergize with related parties for sustainability. We have prepared the planting of perennials, water-friendly plants and fruit trees (on degraded land). Because our target is not just one village. So we share," he explained.
He also underlined that the use of village funds for handling critical land can be budgeted through the food security scheme.
The amount reaches 20 percent of the total village funds. This is because critical land makes plants unproductive and has a direct impact on food security. (Endah/ IST )
