Blora Requests Central Java Governor's Assistance and Support for Road Construction

INFOKU, BLORA - Blora Regent Arief Rohman, asked Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo for help to support road construction in Blora Regency.

This was conveyed during the Coordination Meeting for the Evaluation of the Acceleration of Poverty Handling with the Governor of Central Java, Monday (13/2/2023), in Semarang.

On that occasion, the Regent of Blora said that the poverty rate in Blora Regency is still high, namely 11.53% in 2022, one of which is due to the large number of poor villages in the middle of the forest that do not yet have access to good infrastructure.

Because the infrastructure is not good, it is difficult for them (dwellers in the middle of the forest) to carry out economic activities, transport crops, and access education to health.

"Mr. Governor, Deputy Governor Gus, in Blora there are 47 percent of its area in the form of forest. The majority of our extreme poor live in forest areas, of which 138 out of 271 villages are in forest areas," he explained.

He also conveyed that the existing problem, he continued, was a matter of infrastructure.

"We ask for your support, there are a number of our priority roads which we completed yesterday with the regional budget and loan funds. Now we are focusing on how to build access to Randublatung - Getas towards Ngawi (East Java) in the KHDTK UGM forest area which we are encouraging through the Road Instruction. Please support Mr. Governor," he said.

The Regent also said that the provincial roads in Blora Regency were also in a damaged condition.

He said, Blora had communicated with the Head of the Central Java BMCK DPU to be able to participate in pushing for its construction through the Presidential Instruction on Roads with a budget from the Center.

"If only the roads in Blora were built by the Governor, our pockets of poverty would be reduced as good economic access opens up," he added.

IDR 31 Trillion

Hearing this request, Governor Ganjar Pranowo immediately gave his response.

"About roads and so on. I have spoken with the Minister of Public Works. There is around Rp. 31 trillion in money, if I'm not mistaken. Yesterday I talked to him when I met him in Medan, and I have conveyed that," explained Ganjar Pranowo.

Including, according to him yesterday there were suggestions from Kebumen and Purbalingga. There are those who can, there are those who cannot, so they accompany them.

"Kebumen and Purbalingga, yesterday I asked why it was possible that the one there got it, the one here got it, and the one over there didn't. Oh apparently because there are members of the DPR. So those who don't have DPR members, in the end it's me who speaks. Mr Regent, the Presidential Instruction has been prepared sir," continued Ganjar.

Unless there is an agricultural access village road in the forest area where the measurement results will be (can reduce poverty), Ganjar declared an execution. If the provincial road is too far for the context of poverty reduction, it will only be discussed later in the Musrenbang.

With that answer, the Regent was relieved following support from the Governor to participate in pushing for the issuance of the Presidential Instruction on Roads for infrastructure development in Blora Regency.

Because, currently President Jokowi through the PUPR Ministry is preparing regulations so that the Center can assist infrastructure development in the regions. (Setyorini/KOM)
