Dragged by the Flood, Two Died One Not Found


INFOKU, BLORA  – Heavy rain that occurred in Blora on Tuesday (29/11) night resulted in a flood disaster.

In fact, the disaster resulted in two people died and one person was swept away by the flood. They come from Candi Village, Todanan, Blora.

Siti Maryam, 45, and Ali Rifai, 50, the bodies of a married couple were found. While the body of Sulastri, 50, has not been found.

Siti Maryam, 45, was found at around 22.00 on Tuesday (29/11) night. Meanwhile, Ali Rifai, who is Maryam's husband, was found at around 06.00 yesterday on the west side of the harbor river bridge. Meanwhile Rifai's body has yet to be found.

Head of Candi Hamlet, Candi Village, Todanan, Bambang explained that the three residents on Tuesday (11/19) afternoon were cultivating crops in the fields.

Around 16:00 it was raining heavily. Around 17:00, his party received a report that three residents had not returned home.

Then he and the residents went to the location where the three of them worked. He only found motorcycles belonging to residents at that location.

"After receiving reports from residents, I went straight to the location of the rice fields. But the Kedungmalang river is in a flood condition.

Based on eyewitnesses, but the person could not speak (mute), only gave sign language that the three were carried away by the flood. So from that we immediately started a search," said Bambang. (Endah / IST )
