Central Java PMI Asks for the Quality of Coordination of Regency/City PMI Management to be Improved


INFOKU, BLORA - Indonesian Red Cross Association (PMI ) region 1 Central Java held an annual Coordination Meeting (Rakor) which took place in Blora Regency, Tuesday (20/12).

The coordination meeting was attended by all PMI region 1 administrators and PMI Central Java officials. 

The general chairman of PMI Blora, Sutikno Slamet said the coordination meeting was held as a place to provide advice and input for PMI region 1 management in Central Java. 

"This coordination meeting is held every year and this time PMI Blora is the host, as well as a means of sharing providing suggestions and ideas for the progress of PMI," said Sutikno. 

He said that the coordination meeting was attended by 11 members of the PMI community in Central Java 1 which included Blora Regency, Rembang Regency, Pati Regency, Kudus Regency, Jepara Regency, Demak Regency, Semarang City, Kendal Regency, Grobogan Regency, Semarang Regency and Salatiga City.

On this occasion, PMI Blora as the host conveyed the program's achievements over the last 1 year including the 2022 PMI Funding Month activities. 

"Our hope is that this year's PMI Funding Month can reach the target. Our target is Rp. 900 million and currently it is 76 percent. The remaining 10 days, hopefully our target can be fulfilled, hopefully it can be more," he hoped. 

Meanwhile, PMI Central Java's organizational division head, Edi Susanto, hopes that this coordination meeting will serve as a momentum to improve the quality of coordination between PMI administrators in City Districts.

"Hopefully this activity can be utilized by PMI Central Java 1 region administrators for coordination. Quality must be improved. In accordance with the established vision and mission, professionalism, integrity and working for the community must be improved as well as possible," he said. 

According to him, all PMI management must help each other for the common progress. This is so that PMI continues to grow and develop.

"I beg in this forum, how can this logistics problem be managed from us to us. If a third party comes in, I'm afraid it could kill PMI. This has long been a concern for Provincial PMI," he stated. (Endah)
