The Water Channel from Cepu Terminal to Tuk Buntung is still stuck

 


INFOKU, Cepu, BLORA – River normalization in Cepu sub-district has not yet been completed, river silting is estimated at 70 percent.  

Thus, the potential for flooding is still very large because it has not been handled. Currently, the temporary handling is in the Blora area.

The Head of Water Resources, Public Works and Spatial Planning (DPUPR) Blora, Surat explained, we have completed the normalization of the Tuk Buntung – Sidodadi – South Ketapang – Surabaya Road Bridge culvert. The total length is approximately 1 Kilometer.

"Meanwhile, the team will move to Blora to do similar work," he explained.

The letter revealed that the channel from Tuk Buntung to the bridge adjacent to the Royal Hotel had been completed.

The channel normalization that has not been handled or is still stuck is the Cepu terminal channel to Tuk Buntung and from Pasar to Bruk Twin.

"As for the Jalan Surabaya bridge that empties into the Bengawan Solo River, the condition does not require it to be normalized," he explained.

Normalization is more than a week in the Cepu area, his party admitted that they encountered silting and narrowing of the river.

In fact, some of the sediments in the river are overgrown with plants that are quite large.

Although there is no specific calculation yet, the letter predicts the narrowing and silting of the river will occur in around 70 percent of the normalized area. If the budget is still available, it will be completed this year.

"The plan is, if the budget allocation is still available, we will try to handle it this year, after dealing with clogged drains in Blora," he said.

In Blora, he continued, the team will handle the Kali Gabus channel behind the Sidomakmur Market. Because, it overflowed and flooded the tomb in Jetis Village.

Previously, the normalization process was planned for three days, from October 21 to October 24. Then added 2 days until October 26.
