Police Raid Elpiji Pengoplos House, Find Hundreds of Gas Cylinders

 


INFOKU, BLORA -  After observing for some time, the police raided a house suspected of being the location of the LPG gas mixing in Ngliron Village, Randublatung District, Blora Regency, Sunday (27/3/2022).

From that place, the police confiscated 394 LPG cylinders measuring 3 kilograms and 12 kilograms.

Blora Resort Police Chief (Kapolres) Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police (AKBP) Aan Hardiansyah revealed, there were three perpetrators who were arrested after being caught mixing 3 kg LPG cylinders into 12 kg LPG cylinders.

"At the time of the arrest process, while the transfer was still underway from the 3 kilogram subsidized tube to the 12 kilogram non-subsidized tube," Aan said at the Blora Police Headquarters, Monday (28/3/2022).

The owner of the house, who is also a business actor, is still being chased by the police.

In addition to securing hundreds of gas cylinders, the police also brought evidence in the form of glue, pliers, regulators, and a number of cellphones from the place of the raid.

So far, the police are still investigating and further investigating the three perpetrators who were arrested.

To account for their actions, the three perpetrators face a maximum sentence of 6 years in prison.

"For the application of the article and the threat, Article 53 letter d in conjunction with Article 23 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 22 of 2001 concerning oil and gas with a maximum threat of 6 years in prison," he explained.

Not only that, the perpetrators are also suspected of violating Article 62 in conjunction with Article 8 paragraph 1 letter D number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, as well as Article 106 of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade. (Endah/ IST )
