INFOKU, BLORA - A total of 28 residents of the Insan Gemilang Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) in Blora Regency, Central Java have tested positive for Covid-19.
The results were known after the Blora District Health Office carried out tracing with an antigen swab test on 84 samples, after previously a student who was also a student at the boarding school was confirmed positive.
Based on the examination of the 84 samples, 27 samples were found with positive results for Covid-19.
So far, there are 28 people who have tested positive for Covid-19 at the Islamic boarding school. Knowing this, the Regent of Blora, Arief Rohman, immediately inspected the Insan Gemilang Islamic Boarding School Dormitory, which is located in Mlangsen Village, Blora District.
Arriving at the courtyard of the Islamic boarding school, Arief and his entourage were immediately greeted by the Principal of SMP Insan Gemilang Plus, Emi Sofiya, while maintaining social distance and health protocols.

"The confirmed children will later be isolated in a centralized manner, if it can be controlled well here and can reduce the risk of transmission again, here later the health side will also assist, including the provision of vitamins and adequate nutritional intake," said Arief , Friday (4/2/2022).
Arief also asked his staff to immediately follow up on the findings, while at the same time asking for the isolation to be carried out properly.
The plan is that the Blora District Health Office will conduct a follow-up examination on Saturday (5/2/2022) on students who are positive from the antigen swab examination.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Regent of Blora, Tri Yuli Setyowati, asked the Islamic boarding school to intensively communicate with the parents of the confirmed students, as well as reassure them not to worry.
"Children can only isolate here so they can feel comfortable and because the atmosphere here is used to it," said Tri.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Disease Prevention and Control Division of the Health Service, Joko Budi Heri Santoso, explained that there was a transmission of Covid-19 that occurred in the Islamic boarding school.
"The presence of this antigen swab is a follow-up to the case of a child who previously had a fever and cough and was examined by the family, independent PCR, and the results showed positive," he explained.
In addition, as an anticipatory measure against the Omicron variant Covid-19, if needed, the specimen will be sent for inspection.
"Our prayers are not many that are positive, however because we are still anticipating the Omicron variant, if there is a risk, we will also send the specimen to Semarang," Joko added, explaining that those who were exposed had no symptoms or had mild symptoms.
Because, they have undergone a second dose of vaccination. "They have been vaccinated for the second dose, so on average, even though they are positive, they do not feel symptoms, because this is the benefit of vaccination as well," he added.
Meanwhile, the Principal of SMP Insan Gemilang Plus, Emi Sofiya said the 28 people exposed to Covid-19 were students and hostel companions.
"Today 25 students and 2 dormitory assistants have positive results, and 1 student who previously tested positive earlier," he said. (Endah/ I ST )
