INFOKU, BLORA - Thediscoveryof a tombstone inscribed with Javanese script in 1461caused an uproarthe people of Blora, Central Java.
The discovery was in the yard of Baharuddin's house, a resident of Brumbung Village, Jepon District, Blora Regency.
Baharuddin then collaborated with historians of old tombs who could communicate magically to confirm the existence of these tombs.
"I asked historians from Tuban, East Java, to follow up with excavations last Friday (28/01/2022)," said Baharuddin when met by reporters, Thursday (3/2/2022).
When the team dug at a depth of about 25 centimeters from the ground, they found a pair of tombstones with Javanese letters inscribed with Kusumo Hadi.
"After the excavation was carried out but a few moments later the excavated soil was returned with a bamboo fence marked around it, while we reported to the village that there were findings of the tomb," he added.
Meanwhile, the Head of Brumbung Village, Supardi, confirmed that the tombstone was first discovered by a resident named Baharudin through a dream.
"This is in front of H. Baharuddin's house. About a few months ago he had a dream. Last Friday (28/1/2022) there were instructions for its location," said Supardi
Later, the ancient tombstone will be used as religious tourism in his village.
"This means that the age of this tomb is around the 15th century. We will make this a religious tour, we have coordinated with the land owner and he agreed," he added .
To find out in detail regarding the discovery of the tombstone, his party has reported it to the Department of Youth, Sports, Culture and Tourism (Dinporabudpar) of Blora Regency.
Following up on the report on the findings of the ancient tomb, the Head of the Cultural Division of the Blora Dinporabudpar, Budi Riyanto, visited the location with his team.
According to him, the discovery of the tomb is suspected to be a cultural heritage, which must be treated and preserved.
