INFOKU, BLORA –The police have started investigating allegations of illegal levies under the guise of security fees at the Sido Makmur Market in Blora.
The head of the Blora Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasatreskrim), Adjunct Police Commissioner (AKP) Setiyanto said his party had examined a number of witnesses suspected of being involved in the case.
"Of course we from the Satreskrim Polres Blora continue to carry out examinations or clarifications and ask for information on data collection from witnesses who knew at the time," said Setiyanto, when met by reporters at his office, Monday (12/13/2021).
According to him, actions that are considered detrimental to the community without any legal basis, the police are ready to investigate thoroughly in accordance with applicable law.
So, when the public knows of any actions that are considered disturbing or detrimental, then do not hesitate to inform the police.
"I hope that if the community is affected by something like that, they will immediately notify us, or complain to the police or the nearest police station," he said.
Not only appealed to the public, Setiyanto also warned individuals who intentionally harmed the community in a way that was not in accordance with the rules, to immediately stop their actions.
"Do not commit violations related to adverse treatment of the community, especially in the Blora Regency area," he said.
As is known, the alleged extortion at Sido Makmur Market Blora began with a leaflet about security fees for traders at Sido Makmur Market.
In the leaflet it is written that the minimum security fee varies from Rp. 1,000 to Rp. 10,000.(Endah/ IST )
