INFOKU, BLORA –After some time of repairs, the shoulder of the road on the main Blora-Randublatung route finally collapsed again.
The point is in Sidomulyo Village, Banjarejo District, right in the bend area which is crossed by heavy vehicles and buses every day.
This is not the first time this damage has occurred.
Previous emergency measures implemented by the Blora Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (DPUPR) failed to completely clear the area. The roadside has eroded and collapsed again.

Now, the Blora Public Works and Public Housing Agency (DPUPR) has ensured that permanent handling will be prepared through the 2026 Revised Regional Budget (APBD-P).
Head of the Highways Division of the Blora Public Works and Public Housing Agency, Danang, said that surveys and mapping had been conducted to determine the handling needs at the location.
From the inspection results, the initial damage was approximately 19 meters long and up to three meters deep.
"We've conducted a survey and mapping. It will be permanently addressed in this year's revised regional budget," he told the press.
Danang explained that the damage was triggered by heavy rain which caused the water discharge to increase.
The water flow then eroded the soil on the side of the road, causing the shoulder of the road to lose its support and collapse.
Previously, the Public Works and Public Housing Agency (DPUPR) had implemented temporary measures, including installing wooden retaining walls, backfilling, and landscaping along the roadside.
However, the point was damaged again.

"We've temporarily fixed it, but it's collapsed again. We're reinstalling traffic signs to prevent it from becoming a hazard," he explained.
He explained that the damage was a continuation of the landslide that occurred around the end of March.
At that time, the road shoulder collapsed for 19 meters with a depth of three meters.
Emergency handling is carried out to keep the route passable.
"However, current conditions indicate that this area is vulnerable again. The new landslide was recorded at about five meters with a depth of approximately 50 centimeters," he said.
Danang also stated that the damage occurred on a bend with limited road width. Furthermore, this route is also a major access point, used daily by heavy vehicles and buses.
This condition makes the collapsed shoulder of the road a concern, especially when vehicles have to pass each other.
"In addition to the collapsed shoulder, the relatively narrow road surface and minimal lighting are also problems on this route," he said.
"With permanent measures planned through the revised regional budget (APBD-P), repairs are expected to go beyond closing or temporarily securing landslide sites. This is because the damage has recurred after previous emergency measures," he added. (Endah/ IST )
