INFOKU, BLORA - A touching and warm atmosphere was felt at the Pendopo of the Blora Regent's Official Residence, Tuesday (2/6/2026).
In the midst of handing over the Retirement Decrees (SK) to 62 Civil Servants (PNS), there was one figure who caught the attention of many people, namely the Regional Secretary of Blora Regency, Komang Gede Irawadi.
After more than three decades of service as a civil servant in Blora Regency, Komang Gede Irawadi will enter retirement with a starting date (TMT) of August 1, 2026.
For the Blora Regency Government, this moment is not just an ordinary handover of retirement decrees.
Because, Komang is known as the most senior ASN and the official with the highest rank in the Blora Regency Government.
Blora Regent Arief Rohman admitted that the moment felt special because he and the Deputy Regent were able to hand over retirement decrees directly to civil servants who had dedicated decades of their lives to serving the community.
Accompanied by the Deputy Regent of Blora Sri Setyorini, the Regent handed over retirement decrees to 62 ASN who were about to retire.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this morning feels special because the handover of the retirement decree is from one of our best civil servants, a senior civil servant in Blora Regency, Regional Secretary Komang, who holds the highest rank of IV/e as the highest civil servant in Blora Regency," explained the Regent.
"So we feel that today is extraordinary because we can hand over the awards directly and gather together with all of you who have provided service to the Blora Regency Government in carrying out your duties. Mr. Komang has been a civil servant in Blora for 31 years, and Mrs. Tri Marheni has been a civil servant in Blora Regency for 41 years," he continued.

On that occasion, the Regent also stated that the civil servants entering retirement came from various professions, including teachers, healthcare workers, doctors, midwives, and government employees. All had made significant contributions to the community and the region.
"This is a significant period of service, meaning that all of you whom we are now releasing have helped Blora Regency in various fields," he explained.
One of them is Regional Secretary Komang, during his 31 years of service, he has been part of various development journeys in Blora Regency.
His long bureaucratic career led him to occupy the highest position among regional ASN as Regional Secretary.
Doctoral (S3)
However, what is interesting is that while many people choose to enjoy retirement by resting, running a business, and so on, Komang is actually preparing a new step.
He plans to continue his education to doctoral level (S3).
This was stated directly by Regent Arief Rohman, who called the plan something extraordinary.
"But if the Regional Secretary retires, he wants to study for a doctorate, this is extraordinary. So, he wants to retire but instead registers for a doctorate at UNY, wanting to study for a doctorate is his hobby because he is studying, so even though he is retired, he is still studying," he explained.
Komang's choice to return to college is a message in itself that learning knows no age or position limits.
Retirement is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of a new chapter to continue developing and creating.
According to him, retirement is not really about stopping service, but rather continuing service by providing benefits to the community.
"I certainly urge all of you who have contributed to the nation and state, and to the community, to continue helping as role models in your respective communities," he said.
The Regent emphasized that the decades of experience possessed by retirees remain a valuable asset for the community and the local government.
"Your decades of experience in this bureaucracy provide the necessary capital for the community and also provide us with valuable input and suggestions," he added.
In front of the prospective retirees, the Regent also expressed his highest appreciation for the dedication, loyalty, and devotion that had been given over the years to Blora Regency.
"On behalf of the Blora Regency Government, we express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for all the dedication, loyalty, and devotion you have given so far. If the exam were to be called cum laude, you would all have passed," he concluded.
