The person who kicked the Mintel cat at Kridosono Field was fined Rp 5 million.

In the follow-up trial, the defendant Pujianto was charged with a fine of IDR 5 million by the public prosecutor (JPU).

The hearing had the agenda of reading the prosecutor's demands and delivering closing statements from both parties.

Public Prosecutor Jemmy R. Manurung stated that the defendant was legally and convincingly proven to have committed the crime of animal abuse as regulated in Article 337 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).

"Imposing a fine of Rp. 5 million," said the prosecutor before the panel of judges.

In his demands, the prosecutor also stated that if the defendant did not pay the fine within the specified time limit, his assets could be confiscated and auctioned to cover the crime.

"If the confiscation cannot be carried out, it will be replaced with a prison sentence of three months," he explained.

The next trial is scheduled to be held on Wednesday next week with the agenda of the defendant's defense.

The case began with the kicking of a pet cat named Mintel belonging to Farida Rizky Anwar in the Kridosono Field area of ​​Blora on January 25, 2026.

At that time, Farida and her sister were taking their pet cat for a walk.

The incident then became public attention after the kicking video was uploaded by Farida via her personal Instagram account on January 31, 2026 and went viral on social media.

Mintel was reported dead two days after the incident.

The case sparked a strong reaction from animal lovers.
