INFOKU, BLORA –Data from the Blora Manpower Office (Disnaker) found that many companies have not fulfilled their obligations regarding their employees' rights.
Head of the Blora Manpower Office, Endo Budi Darmawan [according to the press], currently many male and female employees in Blora are not registered with BPJS Employment or Health.
"Currently, we have data showing that only 8,734 people are participating in BPJS Employment and Health," he said.
According to him, this achievement only represents 66 percent of the total workforce in Blora across 480 small to large-scale companies, employing 13,136 people, including 9,023 men and 4,113 women.
He continued, explaining that many companies operate in various sectors, yet many still do not pay their employees the minimum wage of Rp 2,345,000.
"Some companies in our area (Blora) haven't met our expectations. They're paying wages below the minimum wage," he said.
Endro added that the salary below the minimum wage resulted in the company not being able to register its employees with BPJS Health or Employment.
"BPJS is covered by the company, so they calculate the income and expenses," he said.
