Meanwhile, other items that are still made of plastic have also been affected, such as styrofoam, which has experienced a price increase.

"Styrofoam, which was originally only Rp 27,000, has now gone up to Rp 34,000. Furthermore, plastic grocery bags, the most sought-after item, were originally priced at Rp 24,000-25,000, but are now priced at Rp 30,000-31,000 for a kilogram," he explained.

The impact of the price increase, he said, has led to a decrease in plastic consumption, as people are starting to reconsider alternatives.

"Except for those who really need them. Like ice cream, meatball soup, and grocery sellers. They definitely need plastic bags," he added.
