INFOKU, BLORA –Blora Regent Arief Rohman took swift and decisive action.
Acting Secretary of the Blora DPRD (Plt Sekwan) Agus Listiyono was removed from his position, after admitting to using an official car for personal purposes during Eid.
The decision was signed yesterday (April 1). The position of Acting Regional Secretary is now filled by Assistant III to the Blora Regional Secretary.
Apart from being dismissed, Agus also received a letter of warning.
"As of today (yesterday, ed.), we have replaced the Acting Secretary of the Regional Council. This is a firm measure to ensure that state resources are not misused," Arief told the press.
This step was taken after Agus admitted his mistake and apologized to the public.
However, according to Arief, recognition alone is not enough, namely, discipline by the apparatus must be enforced.
"The person concerned has apologized. However, as a commitment to upholding discipline, we have replaced him as Acting Superintendent," he stressed.
Chronology of Events
This case began with the circulation of a photo of an official car with a red license plate K 28 E on social media.
The vehicle is suspected to have been used for private trips outside the area during the Eid al-Fitr period.
Agus didn't deny it. He admitted he was the one driving the car on Saturday (March 21).
In the morning, he visited the Regent's house, and in the afternoon he went to his parents' house in Kunduran District, Blora.
In the afternoon, the trip continued to Sragen to visit the in-laws.
"I drove the car myself. After leaving my parents in Kunduran, I went to my in-laws in Sragen," he said.
The trip was made via the Kuwu–Wirosari route, Grobogan Regency.
At around 17.00 WIB, the vehicle passed along Jalan Raya Tangen, Sragen, and was recorded by residents and went viral.
