The Blora Regent said that  repairs  to the Menden–Megeri section could not be carried out this year due to the impact of cuts in transfer funds from the central government.

According to him, budget cuts from the central government reached more than IDR 370 billion, so that a number of infrastructure programs had to be postponed.

Including  road construction  in the Kradenan area.

"Cutting central government funding has indeed resulted in several sections being cancelled. Everyone knows that the cuts amount to more than Rp 370 billion," he explained to the press.

Arief added that this road section would be proposed again in the next budget planning.

With the note that there are no more budget cuts from the central government.

"If there are no cuts next year, we will propose them in 2027," he stressed.

Acting Head of the  Blora PUPR Service  , Nidzamudin Al Hudda, explained that road construction in the Kradenan area this year only targets the Getas–Nglebak section.

Meanwhile, the point where residents built it is on the Menden-Megeri section, so it has not been included in the 2026 APBD.

"Due to budget constraints, construction on that section hasn't been included this year. However, we have included it in the 2027 Public Works and Public Housing Agency (DPUPR) work plan," he said.

As previously reported, residents of Nglebak Village worked together to repair the damaged road with concrete paving along almost 1 kilometer.

The construction funds came from community self-help, starting from contributions of cement, money, labor and food for workers.

The action even  went viral  on TikTok social media via the Nglebak Official account.

Account owner Maryono said that residents had been waiting a long time for repairs to the road, which was last paved in 2014.

"Every time an official comes, they always promise to build something. But until now, nothing has been realized here," he said.

Due to their disappointment, the residents finally agreed to repair the road themselves.

"We no longer have any hope for the government. We can build our own roads," he stressed.

Nglebak Village Head Eko Puryono confirmed that the road construction was entirely self-funded by residents.

The work was carried out collaboratively by four hamlets in the village.

"Currently, almost one kilometer has been built. The funding comes entirely from the community," he concluded. (Endah/ IST )
