The population of Blora Regency is dominated by Gen Z and Millennials.

INFOKU, BLORA -Population data from the Population and Civil Registration Service (Dindukcapil) of Blora Regency, the population of Blora is recorded at 932,138 people. 

Until the first semester of this year, the number was dominated by the productive age group.

Head of the Population Administration Information Management (PIAK) and Data Utilization Division of the Blora Civil Registration Agency, Ardian Sukmana, explained that Generation Z (Gen Z) is the largest group in population data.

"Of the total population of Blora currently, Gen Z is the group with the largest population, reaching 214,338 people or 22.99 percent," Ardian explained to the press.

The next position is occupied by the millennial generation with a total of 208,120 people or 22.33 percent.

Meanwhile, Generation X, who are in the 46–61 year age range, numbered 204,241 people or 21.91 percent.

"If Gen Z and millennials are combined, the number reaches 422,458 people or around 45.32 percent of the total population of Blora," he explained.

Meanwhile, Generation Alpha, or the population aged 2–13, was recorded at 142,882 people, or 15.33 percent. Then, Baby Boomers aged 62–80 numbered 129,214 people, or 13.86 percent.

For the older generation, the Silent Generation group aged 81–98 years was recorded at 17,419 people or 1.87 percent.

Meanwhile, the Old Generation group or residents aged over 98 years old numbered 516 people or 0.06 percent.

In terms of gender, the number of male residents was recorded at 466,180 people, while the number of female residents was 465,958 people.

The large proportion of Gen Z and millennials is an important indicator for local governments in formulating population policies.

The dominance of the productive age group is closely related to the need for employment, education, skills development, and strengthening the regional economic sector.
