The city with a low regional budget was unable to resolve this problem.

Residents of Blora City were fed up with the situation and protested by scrawling "Dalane Bosok" (Rotten Road) on damaged sections  of  the road.

One of the locations is on the Blora- Randublatung Highway  , specifically in Kaliwangan.

A resident wrote  graffiti  using spray paint with sentences full of annoyance about the condition of the road.

However,  journalists  still do not know who made the graffiti.

One local resident, Alip, admitted that the condition of the road was dangerous, especially when it rained.

"That usually causes accidents. Because the water's standing, you can't see it. Even when it's not raining, it's still dangerous. It's caused accidents countless times," said a man whose house is not far from the spot.

Data from the Blora Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency ( DPUPR ) shows that the level  of stability of the  district roads has only reached 69 percent.

This means that there are still 31 percent or around 270 kilometers of road sections in damaged condition, from light to heavy categories.

Acting Head of Blora DPUPR Nizamudin Al Huda did not deny this figure.

The rest still needs the touch of heavy equipment and hot asphalt.

"The overall good road condition reached 69 percent," he said.

In fact, in 2025,  road infrastructure  was the budget's top priority.

Around IDR 300 billion was allocated to repair  priority roads .

The sources are no joke: General Allocation Funds (DAU), regional loans, and financial assistance from the Central Java Provincial Government.

"In 2025, we spent the largest portion of our budget on road construction. Approximately Rp 300 billion, sourced from the General Allocation Fund (DAU), regional loans, and provincial financial assistance," Huda told the press.  (Endah/ IST )
