INFOKU, BLORA –From researching various versions of the stories of the elders, it turns out that the history of Mojorembun village cannot be separated from the existence of the story of Mendenrejo and Sumber villages which border the southern and western areas of Mojorembun village.
It is said that the short story is that after the contest of magical powers between Blacak Ngilo and Sunan Bonang for several days, it was held at the Tuban Palace.
Finally, Blacak Ngilo lost and ran away with all his magical powers, but the beloved servant of Allah, namely Sunan Bonang, was able to continue chasing him.
People believe that Blacak Ngilo's escape was through the bowels of the earth, the direction of his escape is unknown.
However, after appearing on the surface of the earth in his escape through the bowels of the earth, he appeared in Goa Sentono, an area on the banks of the Solo River, precisely in the village of Mendenrejo.
In a state of exhaustion and weakness, Blacak Ngilo surrendered and sumenden (now Mendenrejo Village, meaning surrender), in the end Blacak Ngilo was conquered by Sunan Bonang.
As a manifestation of Blacak Ngilo's defeat, he was able to become a follower of Sunan Bonang and embrace Islam.

Then Blacak Ngilo was ordered to follow the reading of the Shahadatain and then be circumcised as a mandatory requirement for Muslims.

Upon Sunan Bonang's return from Goa Sentono in the Mendenrejo village area, he headed to Tuban.
On his way north, Sunan Bonang encountered a forest area full of Mojo trees.
There is a tree with thick , wide leaves and round, green fruit like balls, but it tastes bitter.
This situation made Sunan Bonang amazed by the forest area full of very dense mojo trees, and it turned out that the fruit could not be eaten, so the area was named Mojorembun Village .

After continuing his journey to the north, he arrived in the area which is now located more or less to the east of MIM Muhammadiyah Sumber.

When he arrived there, it was almost time for prayer but he couldn't find water for ablution, so Sonan Bonang, with Allah's permission, stuck his stick into the ground.
Then the stick was pulled out so that a clear water source emerged which is now Sumber Village.
This story is a legend passed down by word of mouth, and is still told from generation to generation.
