It's not just about the menu, this time Member of Commission B  of the Central Java  Provincial  DPRD , Abdullah Aminuddin, observed irregularities in the  economic cycle  of the program's implementation.

According to him,  the economic effects  of MBG at the lower level actually cause a decrease in market demand and an increase  in the price of basic commodities .

"The effects of MBG are numerous, you could even call them multi-effect. This is just a bit of  an anomaly . Businesspeople are happy about  the rising price of eggs  , but what about the people?" he explained.

He mentioned many things that need to be considered. However, he personally fully supports President  Prabowo Subianto's priority programs .

"If the prices of eggs and  rice  rise, people who buy them will have a harder time. This is something that hasn't been solved yet," he said.

According to him, the economic effects created by the implementation of  the MBG program  still require thorough study in order to create economic growth at the grassroots level.

"We'll see the study first. We can't draw conclusions quickly," he said.

On the other hand, he assessed that the MBG program also opened up  job opportunities .

One kitchen point of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit ( SPPG ) can absorb more than 40 people.

"One location can employ more than 40 people. I think that's good for employment," he said.

However, he also made a note regarding the  food menu  received by the beneficiaries, which was assessed as still needing a lot of improvement by the National Nutrition Agency ( BGN ) partners in implementing the MBG program.

"What's sometimes lacking is the food that reaches the beneficiaries. As long as the nutritional content is maintained and meets government-set standards, MBG is a good thing," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of the Market Division of the Blora Trade, Cooperatives, and SMEs Office, Margo Yuwono, revealed that the implementation of the MBG program in Blora Regency has not shown a direct impact on traditional market traders.

"The direct impact on regional markets isn't that noticeable. According to market managers, the average MBG shop directly with wholesalers or large traders because prices are lower," he said. (Endah/ IST )
