INFOKU, BLORA -The atmosphere at Pon Animal Market, Blora Regency, seemed livelier than usual, Wednesday (3/9/2025).
The animal pregnancy examination (PKB) service organized by the animal health team of the Food, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Service (DP4) of Blora Regency ran successfully and smoothly due to the enthusiasm of the farmers, thus providing direct benefits to dozens of farmers at the Pon market.
Sugeng, one of the DP4 Blora animal health officers, said that the service, which started in the morning, was carried out very orderly.

"The farmers took turns bringing their productive female cows to be examined by officers who were on standby," said Sugeng.
He explained that the entire process from registration, inspection, to the issuance of the mark went smoothly without any problems.
Of the dozens of cows examined, the initial results showed very encouraging figures.
"Preliminary data shows that approximately 40 percent of the total cows examined today tested positive for pregnancy," explained Sugeng.
These results are certainly good news for livestock breeders in the midst of efforts to increase livestock population and productivity in Blora.
Please note that animal health services do not only provide information on livestock pregnancy status.

"Every cow that has been confirmed as pregnant will immediately be given a special stamp on the cow's body," he said.
This stamp serves as an authentic informal certification, which can significantly help farmers in the process of selling their livestock.
He added that the stamping had proven to be an effective instrument for increasing the bargaining power and selling price of cattle on the market.
For prospective buyers, stamped cattle provide a guarantee that the livestock is in productive condition and ready for further development.
Overall, the PKB service was not only successful as an animal health program, but also succeeded in providing a direct positive economic impact for the livestock farming community in the market.
"Thank God, my cow was tested and found to be pregnant. With this stamp, potential buyers have more confidence and assurance. Naturally, the price will also increase, as pregnant cows are clearly more valuable," said Isnu, a cattle breeder. (Roes)
