Departing for a Congress in China, the Blora Regent Promotes Blora's Organic Farming on the Global Stage

As one of the districts known for its organic farming,  Blora Regent  Arief Rohman  flew to  China  to represent  Indonesia  in the   World Organic Districts Congress (ODWC), starting last Monday (25/8).

"This forum provided a platform for exchanging ideas and  sharing information  on organic district or regency development, with 68  delegates  from various countries participating. We hope the knowledge gained can be applied to the development of organic farming in Blora Regency," he explained.

He admitted he was proud that Blora Regency was one of the regencies representing the region on the international stage. "Organic Blora Goes Global!" he told the press.

His departure was also encouraged by the central and provincial governments.

Moreover, all accommodations are covered by the committee. "Thank God, we were granted permission to travel to China by the Minister of Home Affairs, the Minister of State Secretary, and the Governor. All airfare and accommodations are covered by the organizing committee," he explained.

For your information, the forum involved the International Network of Eco-regions, the Global Alliance of Organic Districts, and the Asian Local Government for Organic Agriculture (ALGOA). It was attended by approximately 500 participants, including over 100 international guests and speakers from over 20 countries and regions.  (Endah IST )
