INFOKU, BLORA –Ngloram, Cepu District, the infestation of flies in their settlements.
This condition is thought to be because the chicken coop belonging to the entrepreneur in Gadon Village directly borders Ngloram Village.
Residents demanded compensation from the entrepreneur.
The residential areas that were attacked by flies were in RT 3, 4, and 5 of Ngloram Village.
In addition to the fly infestation, residents also began to suffer from diarrhea, nausea, and an unpleasant odor.
"Residents are suffering from diarrhea because their food is infested with flies carrying bacteria. We're also demanding compensation from the chicken farmers so that the affected community can be cared for," said Joko Waluyo, a resident of Ngloram Village.
He said that residents had come to the Gadon Village Hall to demand compensation and accountability from the chicken farmers for the fly infestation.
"Every day, residents have to spend tens of thousands of rupiah to buy fly repellent glue to reduce the number of flies that invade their homes," he said.
He revealed that there were nine chicken coops in Gadon Village and two coops in Ngloram Village.

His party criticized that if the demands were not met, all chicken coops would have to be closed.
"They have been opening chicken coops without asking for permission from residents, so we are demanding that the chicken coop owners take responsibility," he stressed.
Meanwhile, the Head of Ngloram Village, Diro Beny Susanto, confirmed that there were complaints and demands from his residents to chicken entrepreneurs in Gadon Village.
On August 19, 18 residents as representatives complained at his office.
"Essentially, they complained about a plague of flies attacking the settlement," he said.
Diro explained that geographically the chicken coop was located in the Gadon Village area, so he coordinated with the local village government.
Finally, an agreement was reached to bring together entrepreneurs and the community.
Meanwhile, one of the chicken entrepreneurs, Sumarno, stated that he would fulfill and accommodate the demands of the residents.
This issue will be discussed with existing chicken entrepreneurs.
"We don't deny the impact felt by the community. Therefore, as chicken entrepreneurs, we are committed to meeting the demands of affected residents," he said.
He added that he would improve the fly control system to prevent them from invading residential areas. The incident will be the subject of an evaluation.
