INFOKU, BLORA - A fire broke out at the chicken farm owned by Mohammad Rinto, 41, in Pilang Village, Randublatung District, Friday morning (18/7).
As many as 15,000 chickens were burned, with losses estimated at IDR 1 billion.
"The entire chicken coop and approximately 15,000 chickens were burned and the losses were approximately 1 billion," said Agung Tri, Head of the Blora Regional Disaster Management Agency's Rapid Response Team (TRC).
Tri explained that the chicken coop that caught fire was in a rice field area far from residential areas.

To extinguish the fire that burned the cage, officers deployed two fire engines (damkar) from the Randublatung Post.
"Upon arrival at the location, firefighters immediately began cooling the area and sprayed water on the debris where flames were still burning," he explained.
He said, after an investigation by the authorities, the source of the fire that destroyed 15,000 chickens was a heating machine.
"The cause is the heater in the chicken coop," he said.
Blora Police Public Relations AKP Gembong Widodo added that, based on the results of the investigation and witness statements, there was a loud explosion from a heating machine on the second floor of the chicken coop.

Then the fire quickly spread to the building made of bamboo and plastic tarpaulin.
"(Before the fire department arrived) they tried to extinguish the fire but were unsuccessful," he explained.
He detailed that the burned cage measured 50x12 meters with a height of 6 meters.
The items that were burned included 10 blower units , 1 generator unit , 2 cage heater units, and cage equipment such as chicken feed and drink containers.
"Fortunately, there were no fatalities in this incident," he said.

Police officers together with the Randublatung Satpol PP fire brigade (Damkar) immediately went to the location and succeeded in extinguishing the remaining embers at 08.30 WIB.
The seized evidence included a piece of wood, a sheet of corrugated iron, and a blower dynamo from the fire. (Endah / IST )
