Blora Short of 902 Teachers Due to Ban on Recruiting Honorary Teachers, Will Voluntary Contributions Be Implemented

INFOKU, BLORA  -From the data obtained, Blora Regency  is short of 902  elementary  and  junior high school  teachers .

This condition is the result of not being allowed to recruit  honorary teachers , there are only teachers with  PPPK  and  PNS status .

In order to resolve these problems, the district government has prepared several schemes, one of which is a plan to finance teachers through the  school committee .

Head of the  Blora Education Office  ( Disdik ) Sunaryo told the press that based on the data collected, currently schools under the auspices of the district government at the elementary and junior high school levels are short of 902 teachers.

Because, the policy from the central government is that honorary teachers are abolished.

"The shortage of 902 teachers, where will it come from, we don't know yet. Because all honorary teachers were corrected," he said.

Currently, teachers who are recognized in educational units are only teachers with PPPK and PNS status.

Meanwhile, the fate of honorary teachers before the ban was implemented is still a dilemma in the world of education. Schools are prohibited from hiring honorary teachers, while conditions on the ground are different.

"Currently, there are two options, PPPK and PNS. Furthermore, we don't know what (honorary) will be like. Meanwhile, in the field, our calculations for our planned needs are less than that number," he explained.

Sunaryo admitted that the district government is still trying to fill the shortage of teachers, such as distributing teachers from schools with excess teachers to schools that still have a shortage.

Second, provide hours to teachers who are  library custodians  to increase their teaching hours.

In addition, there are more PPPK recruitment applications this year.

In addition to this scheme, the district government is also discussing how to fill the teacher shortage using a school committee funding scheme.

Because, the district government is not allowed to inject from the APBD. However, the plan is currently still under discussion.

"We are currently arranging the regulations, using a regent's regulation or a regular circular," he said.

According to him, the plan can be carried out based on Permendikbud  75 of 2016 concerning School Committees.

In these regulations there are contributions for educational unit costs, including operational costs.

So according to him, it can be used for teacher fees.

Sunaryo emphasized that his party plans to invite all  education stakeholders  , including the education council, DPRD Commission D, legal department, BPPKAD, and TP2D.

"This is still in process. Actually, it was discussed before Ramadan, after this we will discuss it again," he said.

He added, in the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation, the mechanism regulated is that first there is a proposal from the school to the committee, the donation of funds is collected in a joint account, opened by the school and the committee.

Including those who spend and search.
