"For non-urgent matters, we will postpone them. For that, I ask for an immediate acceleration of budget changes," he said in the Operational Control Coordination Meeting (POK) Monday (17/2).

Arief said that budget efficiency should not hinder infrastructure development.

"We will look for other strategies and alternatives, such as loans. All of that is to fulfill the wishes of the community, especially regarding infrastructure that can still be handled. Severely damaged roads, collapsed bridges, and other urgent needs must remain a priority," he said.

Meanwhile, Blora Regional Secretary (Sekda) Komang Gede Irawadi said that to follow up on the implementation of central and regional spending efficiency, OPD leaders, sub-district heads, and several other agencies had been invited to a coordination meeting.

"Today we gather to discuss spending efficiency in the implementation of the APBN and APBD this year," he said.

Komang said that the amount of efficiency of the general allocation fund (DAU) and special allocation fund (DAK) that was reduced for Blora was IDR 65 billion.

In addition, the district government is expected to adopt a policy of efficiency in this year's APBD spending of IDR 41 billion.

"So the total is more than IDR 100 billion in efficiency (budget)," he said.

He emphasized that although the circular from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) has not been issued because it is waiting for the inauguration of regional heads on February 20. According to him, coordination is important.

This is because the district government wants to ensure the amount of budget that can be cut for efficiency.

"Even though the letter has not been issued, the calculations or efficiency plan must be prepared," he said.

Of course, some OPDs whose budgets have been planned must be reduced.
