Blora Regent Visits Minister of Transmigration to Seek Solutions for Three Villages Affected by Karangnongko Movable Dam Project

INFOKU -Regent Arief Rohman, is seeking the best solution for three villages affected by the Karangnongko Movable Dam National Strategic Project. 

The Regent of Blora met the Minister of Transmigration, Iftitah Sulaiman at his office, Tuesday (21/1/2025) afternoon.

"Previously, thank you, Mr. Minister Iftitah Sulaiman, Mr. Director General, my old friend Velix Wanggai, for receiving us today. We would like to convey that Blora Regency has a PSN, the Karangnongko Dam," said the Regent.

"Our village has three villages that are very affected, Ngrawoh, Nglebak and Nginggil. We hope that these villages will remain in the sense of being relocated or in other words local transmigration whose location is not far from the current village. Yes, the distance is at most 2 km," he continued.

He revealed that the planned location for local transmigration is in the KHDTK UGM Getas area.

"Of course we want to make the Karangnongko Dam construction a success, designated as a PSN. But we also want to accommodate the wishes and find solutions for the affected village communities," said the Special Staff of the Minister of State for Development of Disadvantaged Regions of the Republic of Indonesia 2009-2014.

Responding to what was conveyed by the Regent of Blora, Minister Iftitah Sulaiman welcomed the proposal.

"The Regent's proposal is very good. We will follow up on the report. Including later when we meet the President, we will report it. Because the brilliant idea from the Regent is the term local transmigration," said Minister Iftitah.

"Moreover, we at the Ministry of Transmigration according to the direction of the President, that transmigration is not only the movement of people but also new locations can become productive villages. In our terms, villages become money printers," he concluded. (Setyorini)
