Blora Regent Begins Free Nutritious Meal Program at SMPN 6 Blora

INFOKU, BLORA -The Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Program began to be implemented in Blora Regency, Monday (13/1/2025).

In the initial stage, the local Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) distributed nutritious food to a number of schools and integrated health posts, targeting 3,000 people.

Marking the MBG, Blora Regent Arief Rohman, together with Forkopimda launched the Blora Regency SPPG, and reviewed the distribution of nutritious food at one of the recipient schools, namely SMPN 6 Blora.

A total of 3,000 targets for receiving nutritious food, each includes students at PAUD, Kindergarten, Elementary School, Junior High School and Vocational School levels, as well as toddlers, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers in Blora.

The details are: At Taqwa PAUD 18 targets; At Taqwa Kindergarten: 22 targets. Kartika Kindergarten 41 targets. Kedungjenar Elementary School 514 targets, Karangjati Elementary School: 70 targets, Bangkle Elementary School: 176 targets, SMPN 6 Blora 756 targets.

Next, SMKN 2 Blora 1,275 targets, Posyandu Mawar 1 and 4 Tempelan 108 targets consisting of 50 toddlers, 20 breastfeeding mothers, 38 pregnant women. 

While reviewing the distribution of MBG at SMPN 6 Blora, Regent Arief expressed his gratitude to the central government.

It was conveyed that the MBG program is one of the priorities of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, in supporting the improvement of nutrition for children.

The Blora Regency Government wants to synergize and is committed so that the MBG program can be run well and sustainably, especially in Blora Regency.

"I, on behalf of the Blora Regency Government, would like to thank the National Nutrition Agency which was assigned by the central government to implement this program, finally in Blora today as the initial stage, appointing 8 schools as the initial stage of implementing the free nutritious meal program," said Regent Arief.

Standard Kitchen

Head of SPPG Blora Regency, Artika Diannita, revealed that in Blora Regency there is only 1 kitchen unit, namely SPPG Blora Regency which can serve 3,000 targets.

"The kitchen is equipped with office and kitchen facilities that have kitchen equipment that meets BGN standards. In addition, it also has 1 distribution vehicle unit that can transport 1,050 portions of food at one time," said Artika.

It was conveyed that the MBG program was implemented for 5 days in 1 week with different menus whose Nutritional Content Values ​​(AKG) had been assessed by Nutritionists.

"Each portion consists of white rice, animal protein side dishes, vegetables, fruit and milk. Milk is given twice a week and can be replaced with eggs, tofu or tempeh," he continued.

Teacher and Student Comments

"Regarding the MBG activity, teachers have given a positive response, hopefully in the future this program can continue and hopefully it can improve the quality of students at SMP 6 Blora," explained Eko Adi Purwanto, Acting Principal of SMPN 6 Blora.

Meanwhile, Auffa Ulin Nuha, one of the ninth grade students at SMPN 6 Blora who received the nutritious food, said he was happy and enthusiastic in enjoying the nutritious food provided that afternoon.

"I'm happy to get food, the food is delicious, there are vegetables, chicken, fruit, and milk, I'll finish it later," said Auffa Ulin Nuha. (Kusumawati)
