190 Traders to Occupy Block E of Sidomakmur Market, Blora

Approximately 190  traders  who were relocated will be able to occupy the new building.

The Blora Trade, Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Service (Dindagkop UKM) has begun preparing for the placement of traders.

Priority is given to traders who have previously sold.

Head of the Regional Market Division of the Blora Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs Office, Margo Yuwono, said that the partner completed the Block E building last December.

Hundreds of traders affected by the construction have been allowed to occupy the stall buildings this month.

"Each stall measures two by two meters," he explained.

The size of the building being prepared is quite large.

With a stretch of land without tables including electrical installations, drainage and fire extinguishers.

Therefore, to avoid any unrest, the party will prioritize traders who have previously been actively selling.

"Later, the main priority will be traders from Block D," he said.

Block E of Sidomakmur Market received a budget injection from the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) last year worth IDR 2.8 billion.

So, currently all the locals in Sidomakmur Market have been built.

Secretary of the Blora Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs Office, Eko Sujarnoko added that the block being built is adjacent to Block D.

When starting the construction process, the party persuasively relocated around 190 traders.

During the construction process, traders were placed in temporary shelters (TPS).

"The construction process began at the end of August," he explained.

Martini, one of the traders at Sidomakmur Market, said she was happy with the construction of Block E at Sidomakmur Market.

He felt cared for by the construction of the new block.

"Previously, we sold in our own building. It was hot and dirty. Now there is development so it's not hot, it's cool and clean," he said.  (Endah/ IST )
