INFOKU, BLORA -A statement from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Blora Regency said that the unemployment rate in Jati City increased in 2024 compared to the previous year.
This was conveyed in the socialization of strategic indicators for 2024 which was held in the Bappeda Blora Hall on Monday (16/12/2024).
Head of Blora Regency BPS, Rukhedi, explained that the number of working age population, namely those aged 15 years and over, reached 734,134 people.
This figure shows an increase of 6,012 people compared to August 2023.
Of this total, the population is divided into two categories, namely non-workforce and workforce.

The number of non-working age group reached 194,480 people, consisting of those who are still in school and those who choose to take care of the household.
Meanwhile, the number of the workforce reached 539,654 people, with details of 519,853 people working and 19,801 people unemployed.
"The number of unemployed in Blora Regency is 19,801, an increase of 2,174 compared to August 2023," said Rukhedi.
Furthermore, Rukhedi said that the open unemployment rate also increased to 3.67 percent.
"So, the unemployment rate in terms of actual value is not too much, just under 3,000. But in terms of percentage, yes, it has increased quite a bit from 2 percent to 3.67 percent. However, this figure is much better than the national figure," he said.
With this data, the local government is expected to take strategic steps to reduce unemployment rates and improve the welfare of the community in Blora Regency. (Endah/ IST )
