Blora Regency Government Optimistic About Completion, Construction of 1,544 RTLH Houses from BSPS Ministry of PUPR

INFOKU, BLORA -Head of Housing and Settlement Division of the Housing, Settlement, and Transportation Service (Dinrumkimhub) Denny Adhiharta Setiawan, revealed that Blora Regency will again receive an allocation of self-help housing stimulus assistance (BSPS) from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) in 2024.

With the BSPS assistance from the PUPR Ministry, the Blora Regency Government is optimistic that it can significantly reduce the number of Uninhabitable Houses (RTLH) in the local area.

This program not only provides benefits from the physical side of the building, but also improves the quality of life of the Blora community.

"This year, Blora Regency received 1,544 points of assistance for RTLH repairs which have been distributed in stages since the beginning of the year, with each point receiving a budget of IDR 20 million," explained Denny Adhiharta Setiawan, in Blora, Tuesday (11/5/2024).

In the statement, the allocation of funds consists of IDR 2.5 million for labor or craftsmen, and IDR 17.5 million for purchasing building materials.

He revealed that this housing assistance has become an annual program that Blora routinely receives, although usually the allocation is smaller and comes from the Central Java Provincial Government.

"Usually, the aid allocation from the province is not up to thousands, at most only hundreds of units per year. But thank God, this year we received a large allocation from the PUPR Ministry of 1,544 points," he said.

Three Stages

Denny also explained that the assistance from the PUPR Ministry was divided into three stages of implementation.

The first phase includes 500 units, the second phase 350 units, and the third phase 694 units.

Currently, the implementation of the third phase has begun since early October and is projected to be completed before the end of the year.

"For this third phase, we just started work in October and are targeting completion by the end of the year," explained Denny.

In implementing this renovation program, Denny emphasized that the Blora Regency Government is only tasked with facilitating activities in the field, while all technical processes are managed directly by the PUPR Ministry.

"We only facilitate, such as providing a place for meetings, providing administrative support, and coordinating with related parties. The rest, starting from the proposal, the assistants recruited in Semarang, to the execution in the field, are all handled directly by the ministry," explained Denny.

In determining which houses will receive assistance, the Blora Public Works and Housing Agency relies on the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) as the basis for the determination.

"We use DTKS as the basis of data, so that the recipients are truly those who are entitled. After that, we conduct direct verification in the field to ensure that the condition of the house is in accordance with the criteria for assistance," he said. (Setyorini)
