Dinsos P3A & Perhutani Blora Holds Activity to Plant a Million Trees

INFOKU, BLORA - The Department of Social Affairs and Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (DInsos P3A) of Blora Regency held a Million Tree Planting Movement in Semanggi Village, Jepon District, Blora Regency, Central Java, Thursday (23/11/2023). 

This activity is a series of 95th Mother's Day activities in collaboration with the Blora Forest Management Unit Perum Perhutani (KPH) involving the sub-district head and local village head, related agencies, the Women's Organization Movement throughout Blora Regency, related agencies, and junior high school students. high school, and other organizations.

KPH Blora Perhutani Administrator Yeni Ernaningsih, explained in her speech that this activity was a form of joint effort to develop Blora through tree planting activities to preserve the forest.

Yeni said that 47% of the Blora area is forest area dominated by teak trees. This activity really helps Perhutani to educate how to plant, preserve forests and protect forests.

"Today, plot 107B of the Kalisari Forest Management Unit (BKPH) will be planted with a 6.4% hectare area and 3,000 teak trees will be planted," he explained.

On that occasion, Head of the Blora Regency Family Welfare Empowerment Mobilization Team (TP PKK) Hj. Ainia Shalichah or who is familiarly called Bunda Ain appreciated all parties by naming the parties involved one by one.

"Thank you to the Social Service P3A and Perhutani, as well as the 26 organizations that are members of the Women's Organization Movement (GOW) throughout Blora Regency," he said.

He said that based on satellite monitoring there was the fact that the area of ​​deforested forest in the Blora area was very large. For example, this may result in several places in several villages in Banjarejo District experiencing drought and flash floods when rain hits the area.

He also explained that one way to overcome and prevent this disaster from occurring is by today's tree planting activities.

Acting Head of the P3A Social Service, Luluk Kusuma Agung Ariadi, explained that this activity involved approximately 400 participants planting teak trees and everything went smoothly.

"Today's activity is planting 600 teak tree seedlings and will continue hopefully in the next few days," he explained.
