INFOKU, BLORA - A house fire occurred again in Ngawen Blora when the owner was on a pilgrimage to the family grave.
The house in Dukuh Watumiring, RT. 004, RW. 002, Bandungrojo Village, Ngawen District, Blora Regency was burned to the ground, Thursday (20/4/2023) at around 17.15 WIB.
Blora Police Chief AKBP Fahrurozi through the Ngawen Police Chief AKP Lilik Eko Sukaryono stated that the house that caught fire belonged to two residents. It is known that the house belongs to Sutarman (67) and Damin (41).
"Based on witness testimony, the source of the fire is suspected to have come from an electrical short circuit in the kitchen of Sutarman's house. At that time the condition of the house was empty because of the pilgrimage owner," explained AKP Lilik Eko.
It was when he left the tomb that a fire broke out. Previously, the witness who was selling ice around saw a fire in the kitchen.

In a short time, the flames quickly engulfed all parts of the house made of wood.
The fire was extinguished only after the house had started to burn down.
“The resident's wooden house is almost level with the ground. We suspect that the fire originated from a short circuit or an electric short circuit in the kitchen of Sutarman's house," added AKP Lilik Eko.
The police also cannot confirm the cause of the fire, because they will still conduct an investigation and summon witnesses to determine the cause of the fire.

"There were no casualties in the incident. However, the interpretation of temporary material losses is around IDR 200 million,” explained AKP Lilik Eko.
Due to this incident, Sutarman suffered losses on the house and its contents, an estimated loss of around IDR 80 million.
While Damin suffered losses on the house and its contents and 2 (two) dead cows that were burned and two dead cows with an estimated loss of around Rp. 125 million. (Endah / IST )
