INFOKU, BLORA - As many as 623 people from political parties participating in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) have registered as candidates for DPRD members for Blora Regency, Central Java, to the General Election Commission (KPU) for Blora Regency.
This number consists of 352 men and 271 women divided into five constituencies (Blora 1, Blora 2, Blora 3, Blora 4 and Blora 5).
This information is based on a provisional recapitulation issued by the Blora KPU regarding prospective Blora Regency DPRD members who have registered by the end of the registration period.
Thus, the Blora KPU stated that the registration period for prospective members of the Blora Regency Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) for the 2024 election is now officially closed.
Registration is open for the General Election Commission (KPU) of Blora Regency from 1 May 2023 to 14 May 2023 (14 days).

Blora Regency KPU chairman M. Khamdun said that he would later carry out administrative verification regarding the requirements for prospective DPRD member candidates to be registered by political parties.
According to him, starting May 15, 2023, the activities carried out by the KPU are research or verification of the document requirements for prospective candidates.
There are two categories used for assessment or research, namely the first is the correctness of the required documents and also the validity of the requirements documents.
"So we are waiting for the results of administrative verification. Later we will convey them after June 23, 2023," explained M. Khamdun, in Blora (15/5/2023).

He explained, there were 18 political parties participating in the 2024 National Election at the national level, until the last day of registration for prospective members of the Blora Regency DPRD, of the 18 political parties participating in the 2024 Election who were not present to register prospective candidates for DPRD members, there were two parties, namely the Garuda Party and the Laborer.
Khamdun said that prospective members of the Blora Regency DPRD who would later be declared not eligible, would be given the opportunity to improve during the repair period.
So during the verification or examination of administrative documents that category of assessment will be used, whether the documents are correct and valid or not.
"If there are still documents that are not correct and not valid, then there will be an opportunity for political parties to make improvements during the repair period," he added. (Endah/KOM)
