Farmers in Randublatung Killed by Lightning, When Trying to Remove Rice Seeds

 

INFOKU, BLORA – Bad luck befell a farmer named Jasiran (54), from Temulus Village, Randublatung District, Blora Regency, Central Java, who was killed by lightning in a rice field.

Randublatung Police Chief, Adjunct Police Commissioner (AKP) Les Pujianto said the incident occurred at around 13.30 WIB in a rice field belonging to someone else

The chronology began when the victim and 10 other people went to the fields to pull out the rice seeds to be planted, alias David.

Not long after, it rained heavily accompanied by the sound of thunder and flashes of lightning.

"After that the witnesses saw and found the victim lying on his back, motionless and not breathing," he said based on his written statement, Friday (17/3/2023).

The victim was then brought home and the incident was reported to the police.

Furthermore, Randublatung police officers together with members of the Randublatung Koramil and the Randublatung Health Center medical team visited the victim's funeral home.

"The results of the examination by the medical team for the victim's pulse were not palpable or stopped pulse and stopped breathing, the victim's right ear was bleeding, there were no signs of abuse in the victim's body," he explained.

Meanwhile, another victim named Jadi (67) who survived was found lying on his stomach and then immediately rushed to the Randublatung Health Center.

"The results of the examination by the medical team were that the victim was conscious, had a headache, had nausea after the incident, and is still under the care of the hospital," he explained. (Endah IST )
