INFOKU, BLORA – Floods that frequently hit Cepu Sub-District receive immediate treatment.
This year, the Blora Regency Government has allocated a budget of Rp. 8 billion to handle it.
Unfortunately, the handling has not yet touched the arrangement of illegal buildings.
In fact, many illegal buildings that stand on river banks are one of the causes of flooding.
"Flood handling in Cepu for settlement arrangement (above the river banks) has not yet been discussed," said Head of Cepu Sub-District Budiman yesterday (9/2).
Budiman revealed that discussions on the arrangement of illegal buildings that cause narrowing of the river have not been thoroughly discussed.
However, if it is realized, there needs to be outreach to residents who occupy it.

"For example, if someone is affected, it starts with socialization. Later, the technical matter will be at the DPUPR," he explained.
Even though there is no arrangement for illegal buildings, the handling of the Cepu flood this year is certain to be realized.
Namely, with the construction of ponds, installation of u-ditch at several channel points and normalization of the river.
This year, the Blora Regency Government has allocated Rp. 8 billion for flood management in the Cepu area.
The funds are divided for a number of activities. Namely, the construction of the reservoir is Rp. 3.7 billion, the construction of flood control embankments is Rp. 1.8 billion, the rehabilitation of drainage on Jalan Sorogo is Rp. 1.8 billion, and the rehabilitation of the Ngareng drainage is Rp. 700 million.
"This year's pond is positive. There are several activities that cover five sub-districts and one village. Normalization will be carried out again this year," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Water Resources (SDA) Department of Public Works, Spatial Planning (DPUPR) Blora Surat revealed that the building, which stands on the border of river canals, is currently studying it with the sub-district and urban village officials.

Because if it is disciplined it will directly have a social impact on building owners.
"We are taking an inventory of buildings that have permits," he explained.
The letter hopes that if the review is completed and allows the building to be put in order, the owner must be aware. Because from the data it has, permanent and semi-permanent buildings have already stood at several embankment points.
